Anti-Child Labour Day

To mark the observance of World Day Against Child Labour, a special assembly was conducted on 12th June 2025 at Prestige Public School. The assembly was anchored confidently by Asiya, who began by emphasizing the importance of standing against child labour and promoting education for all children. The program commenced with a soulful prayer led by Sayyida and Zella, invoking blessings for a world free of exploitation. This was followed by the pledge taken by Raya, reaffirming our commitment to justice, equality, and children's rights. Naiza shared a thoughtful quote of the day, highlighting the power of education in transforming lives. Haniya updated everyone with the news headlines, keeping the assembly informed about current affairs. A powerful and moving speech was delivered by Azah, who spoke about the causes and consequences of child labour, and how we as a society must work towards eradicating it. The speech encouraged students to be more empathetic and active in social causes. Our respected teacher, Ms. Thulasi, addressed the students with an inspiring speech, urging them to be grateful for their opportunity to learn and to always stand up for the rights of others. The highlight of the program was a stage performance by a talented group of students – Elan, Dina, Raiza, Aman, Ayn, Aaron, Ridwan, Kadeeja, and Alia. Their performance creatively portrayed the harsh realities of child labour and ended with a hopeful message of change and empowerment through education. The assembly successfully created awareness among the students and left a strong impact. It reminded everyone of their role in building a future where every child enjoys their right to a carefree childhood and quality education.
