celebrated Reading Week 2026
Prestige Public School celebrated Reading Week 2026 under the inspiring theme “Read to Rise” with great enthusiasm and active participation from students across all grades. The celebration aimed to inspire students to develop a love for reading, improve their language skills, and nurture creativity through a variety of literary activities. The programmes were organized jointly by the Malayalam, English, Hindi, and Arabic Departments.
The Malayalam Department conducted competitions such as handwriting, reading, recitation, letter writing, news reading, poster making, logo designing, poetry writing, and book review writing for different grade levels. The English Department organized Story Telling, Essay Writing, and Book Review Writing competitions, giving students an opportunity to express their ideas confidently and creatively.
The Hindi Department conducted Word Formation, Handwriting and Speech, while the Arabic Department organized the Letter Tree Activity, Reading Competition, and Qira'ath Competition. These events helped students strengthen their language proficiency, communication skills, and appreciation for literature.
Students participated wholeheartedly in all the competitions and displayed remarkable talent, confidence, and enthusiasm. The judges appreciated the high standard of performance and selected winners based on creativity, presentation, language skills, and overall excellence.
In addition, the Library Department recognized and encouraged reading habits by awarding the “Best Reader of the Year” prize to a deserving student, celebrating their consistent interest and dedication to reading.
The Reading Week celebrations, themed “Read to Rise,” concluded on a successful note, leaving students motivated to read more and explore the world of books. The school management appreciated the dedicated efforts of the language departments, teachers, and students in making the programme meaningful and memorable.
